The Seattle Seahawks pulled away from the San Francisco 49ers in the second quarter with a sensational touchdown catch by Tyler Lockett.

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has proven to be a threat to score any time he touches the ball since the day he donned a Seahawks uniform. He has taken on a key returning role right away. The former Kansas State receiver has also taken on a relatively significant role in the offense, and he broke through on Thursday night with his first career receiving touchdown.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson found the rookie receiver in the end zone after he sped past San Francisco 49ers cornerback Tramaine Brock.

The Seahawks now lead the 49ers, 17-0, with halftime approaching. This NFC West rivalry has become even more lopsided. The 49ers have failed to beat the Seahawks since the regular season in 2013. The Seahawks have been deep in their heads since that fateful 2013 NFC Championship games, though, and they have beaten the 49ers by double-digit points in each of their last two wins. Both teams find themselves in desperate need for a win, as they each hold a 2-4 record.

The addition of Lockett to the Seahawks offense will not make life any easier for a 49ers defense that has become a shell of its former self. Lockett was drafted in the third round by the Seahawks this year, and he has proven to be a draft gem throughout his rookie season, as he now has three total touchdowns.

He had previously scored touchdowns on a kick return and a punt return. He has not logged more than four catches in a game so far this season, but that may very well change if he continues to flash his sky-high potential.
