Week 7 is shaping up to be a good one across the NFL as contenders start to separate themselves while pretenders continue to struggle.  For fantasy football players, the bye weeks and injuries are stretching rosters to the max, so many are looking for running back sleepers who can produce points even though the don’t cost a lot in daily fantasy football leagues and may be on the waiver wire in season-long leagues. If you’re on the hunt for some backfield value, you can find my 5 picks for week 6 on the following slides.

More from Dallas Cowboys

In this post, I’m not going to focus on the big name stars at the top of the salary structure in daily leagues and already universally owned in season-long leagues. Instead, I’ll try and select some lesser-known backs that are set up to step up this week.

Last week, I started my new approach to getting you my sleepers for the week with a post focused on each position. Last week’s post included Duke Johnson and Denard Robinson who ended up with decent stat lines.  Overall, running back scoring was way down last week with only a few options really popping and producing big weeks.  James Starks was probably the biggest surprise among the sleeper running backs as he took over the Green bay backfield and scored one of the biggest weeks of any running back.

This week, Starks and the Packers are one of four teams on a bye, and all four are full of fantasy football options.  Green Bay is joined on the sidelines by the Broncos, Bears, and Bengals. If those bye weeks are messing with your backfield, check out my sleeper running backs as possible replacements
