Kansas Jayhawks vs. No. 14 Oklahoma State Cowboys
Oklahoma State might be the least talked about of any undefeated team in the country. The Cowboys are 6-0 on the season with a 3-0 record in conference play, but the lack of exposure happens to be due to the fact that they have yet to really impose their will on inferior Big 12 foes. In fact, Oklahoma State has won all three conference games by a combined 12 points.
Kansas, on the other hand, is not seeing much success of the gridiron this year. Known more for their basketball prowess, the Jayhawks are 0-6 this season with one of the worst defenses in the country. Only one of the Jayhawks’ losses has come by single-digits and that happened to be the season-opener against South Dakota State.
Sophomore quarterback Mason Rudolph is in his first full season as the Cowboys’ starter and he will have a field day against this mediocre Kansas defense. The only facet of the game in which Rudolph has had an issue this year is protecting the ball — he has thrown at least one interception in all but two games this year. He has passed for 1,892 yards and nine touchdowns with seven picks.
The Jayhawks’ offense is in shambles as it has gone through three different quarterbacks this season in Montell Cozart, Deondre Ford and Ryan Willis. The latter has started for the past two games and has thrown for 588 yards, three touchdowns and two picks. The defense is no better as Kansas allows about 560 total yards per game.
