Most Important Games

The Pistons are going to be a team that gets better as the season progresses as Stan Van Gundy tries to integrate new pieces and account for the loss of Greg Monroe. However, the month of November at the start of the 2015-16 season is going to be an enormous stretch for the Pistons in terms of setting the tone for their season.

There are 15 games in November on the schedule for the Pistons and 10 of those games are on the road. Those road games include a six-game Western Conference road trip from Nov. 6 to Nov. 15 that includes two back-to-backs and games against the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers. How they perform in that early-season stretch could build their confidence, break them, or put them in a hole they have to dig out of.

Detroit will also have an interesting run to finish their 2015-16 season. They finish up their season with six Eastern Conference matchups, five of which are against likely playoff teams and four of which are on the road. However, teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Chicago Bulls may be resting players by that point in the season. Being able to capitalize and pick up wins at that late stage in the year could help vault the Pistons into the postseason if they’re within striking distance.
