Lamar Miller is looking like a Pro Bowl-caliber running back again after a slow start to his 2015 season.

The Miami Dolphins are having themselves quite a game against the Houston Texans, and running back Lamar Miller is putting a sluggish start behind him. Miller had only rushed for 53 yards at most in his first four games, and he looked like a colossal fantasy football bust. He was held to 14 rushing yards in one game, but he has exploded in his last two games. He already has 175 rushing yards on 14 carries to go with two touchdowns in the first half, and he put the icing on the cake with an 85-yard touchdown.

The Dolphins have gained 394 total yards as a team to go with 14 first downs while the Texans have only gained 64 yards and five first downs as a team. The Dolphins are clearly benefitting from the firing of head coach Joe Philbin, who guided them to a disappointing 1-4 start. Unless they melt down in epic fashion, they are well on their way to winning their second consecutive game and improving to 3-4.

In addition to Miller’s 236 total yards, quarterback Ryan Tannehill is playing a flawless game. As of post he has completed all 12 of his passes so far for 231 yards and four touchdown passes. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry continues to be the main beneficiary in the Dolphins’ passing attack. He has caught five passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, the Texans defense is having an uncharacteristically awful game that may cost defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel his job. A sputtering offense does not help matters either though, as quarterback Brian Hoyer has been held to 61 passing yards.
