The Kansas City Chiefs finally got back into the win column on Sunday afternoon, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium, 23-13. Kansas City was able to move the chains with Alex Smith playing a solid game, completing 21-of-32 passes with 251 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Pittsburgh could not get much going on Kansas City’s side of the field. Despite racking up 339 total yards, the Steelers could not amass more than 13 points. Three turnovers were a major part of the story, with third-string quarterback Landry Jones throwing two interceptions and fumbling on a Tamba Hali sack. Hali had two sacks on the afternoon.

Highlights

Three Stars

1. Antonio Brown

Brown was giving Jones a target to hit throughout the afternoon. Brown caught six passes for 124 yards, consistently beating a pair of top cornerbacks in Sean Smith and Marcus Peters.

2. Charcandrick West

West is filling in for the injured Jamaal Charles, and he is making the most of his chance. Behind a new-fangled offensive line, West was able to run for 110 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, while adding two receptions and 19 yards in the passing game.

3. Le’Veon Bell

Bell was able to rip through one of the better front sevens in the National Football League, racking up 121 yards on 17 rushing attempts. Bell was bottled up in the red zone, however, not being able to find the end zone. The All-Pro running back was a force, but could not enough to earn the win.

Odds

Kansas City was favored by 2.5 points and covered the spread against Pittsburgh.
