Results and highlights from The New Day defending the tag titles vs. The Dudleys at Hell in a Cell

WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day have been feuding with the legendary Dudley Boyz ever since Bubba Ray and D-Von made their surprise return to WWE. With neither able to get the last laugh to this point, though, they would battle again at WWE Hell in a Cell for the tag titles. However, Big E and Kofi would be without Xavier Woods on the outside after the Dudleyz put him through a table earlier this week.

Bubba Ray and D-Von

Bubba Ray and D-Von sent both Big E and Kofi reeling in the early action of the match. The champs went outside to regroup, but were just met with more offense straight out of Dudleyville for their trouble. Kofi and Bubba were the legal men and Bubba was dominant in overpowering the agile Kingston:

However, Kofi was able to tag in Big E and the biggest member of The New Day regained control for the champs:

Big E and Kofi worked D-Von in a bad way until they started to get a bit cocky and allowed D-Von to create enough space to get to Bubba Ray for the tag. The Dudley Boyz then regained control of the match with some of his signature offense:

It looked like the Dudleys might shock the world, but then Kofi came out of nowhere with a double dropkick. He then tried some tremendous heel tactics by trying to get Bubba Ray disqualified as Kofi tossed him the trombone:

The trombone would come into play soon after as Big E would sneakily hit Bubba Ray in the gut with it. Big E then cleared D-Von out of the ring and allowed Kofi to hit a stunned Bubba Ray with Trouble in Paradise for the victory to retain the titles:
