Javorius “Buck” Allen was not letting Jerraud Powers stop him from getting these yards on Monday night

The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best, most versatile running backs in the league in Justin Forsett. However, they also have a promising, bruising rookie in Javorius “Buck” Allen out of USC who has shown much promise thus far in his young career.

On Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals on the road, he showed that contact is not really a point of concern for him and Jerraud Powers found that out the hard way.

In the second quarter of this one, Allen took a swing pass out of the backfield from Joe Flacco, when he came head-to-head with Powers. Well, yeah, needless to say on this play, things completely went the way of Allen as he embarrassed Powers and his tackle attempt.

This young rookie out of USC is not afraid whatsoever to go old school and drop that shoulder to make the hit himself if it means getting the yards needed.

Slowly but surely, we’re seeing that Allen is one hell of a compliment to Forsett in that backfield and this is a dangerous tandem in the making for the future.
