Chris Johnson made one of the best heads-up plays that we’ve seen this year, while the Ravens looked a little lost
Monday Night Football between the Arizona Cardinals and Baltimore Ravens is turning into the “Chris Johnson Show.” However, the play that he just made in the third quarter was one of the best heads-up plays that we have seen this season.
The Cardinals were driving in the third quarter and Johnson got the call up the middle. He took off towards the left side of the line, where he was grabbed and pulled down. The only thing was, as you’ll see in a second here, he was never actually down.
Johnson never touched the ground. Well, he realized this, but unfortunately, the Ravens did not. Johnson got right up and took off down the sideline. He didn’t get the score, but he did get a 62-yard gain out of the play.
You see, kids, this is why you’re always taught that you have to play until you hear the whistle. Even as Johnson got up to take off, there were members of the Ravens that simply just quit on the play, assuming that he was down.
What a play by the veteran.
