Rondae Hollis-Jefferson thanked his mother in one of the best possible ways.

Next to buying a car, purchasing a home is one of the biggest purchases anyone makes in their lifetime and is oftentimes a long stretched out affair over decades. Well according to SB Nation on their piece they dropped earlier today (Oct. 26, 2015) it looks like Nets rookie Rondae Hollis-Jefferson went ahead and relieved his Mother of the burden of a mortgage and bought her a home. For the greater internet, the best part is Rondae happened to catch the entire episode go down on video for the world to enjoy. Get your tissues ready because this one’s a tear-jerker.

Rondae and his brother Rahlir (whose played for NBA’s Development League, the Deleware 87ers) mentioned that this has always been a dream of theirs.

"We’re here for a special occasion, today’s my Mother’s birthday. Growing up we always talked about that day where we could get our Mom and our Grandmother a place to live. Somewhere we can call home, a place that’s comfortable to live."

Their Mom, Rylanda Rollis, was invited to the house under the premise that this was Rondae’s friends house and they were simply borrowing the space to celebrate. The owner of the house was in on the entire gift and was more than happy to accommodate the brothers request to make their Mom’s birthday extra special with this surprise.

And just mere seconds after both Brothers jump out from behind the door with cake in two, Rylanda already knows what’s going on and bursts into tears. From there on, it’s hugs and heartfelt thanks for the rest of the video.

Our hat tip of the day goes to these fine gents’ for setting such a good example for others to follow. Parents make great sacrifices in raising kids and later on in life deserve our thanks.
