Wizards’ 2015-16 NBA Title Odds

According to VegasInsider.com, the Wizards are average yet again when it comes to betting odds for the 2015-16 NBA championship. With the Cavaliers leading the way at 14/5 odds, the Spurs coming in at second with 4/1 odds, and the defending champion Warriors earning third place with 5/1 chances, the Wizards just can’t compete with the elite of the elite.

As a result, they sit in a completely average 14th with 65/1 odds on VegasInsider. Which, considering they have the Cavs, Bulls, Hawks and newly improved Heat to compete with in the East, sounds about right. There’s just nothing they have done this offseason that can take them to another level as a contender.

No matter how talented the Wizards’ core may be, it’s their limited depth, reduced veteran presence after Pierce’s departure, and moderate performance on offense that makes them a long-shot to win the 2015-16 NBA title.
