After being one of the few productive members on the Houston Texans this season, star defensive end J.J. has hurt his back.

The Houston Texans are bad. The Houston Texans are dysfunctional. There’s a lot of adjectives that can really describe the Houston Texans in 2015. However, those tags can’t be applied to the great J.J. Watt. Once again, Watt has been a machine in getting after the quarterback and is on pace for double digit sacks like it’s no one’s business.

Unfortunately, it appears that Watt has hurt his back carrying the team. According to Adam Schefter via Texans’ coach Bill O’Brien, Watt has a minor back issue and won’t be practicing on Wednesday.

It’s just minor, but it’s becoming apparent that even that one of the best in the NFL is being beat down from the effects of trying to carry a football team that allows more points than all but four teams in the NFL.

It’s hard to blame Watt’s body for breaking down on him. Not too many players give it their absolute all when they’re down 41-0 at halftime to a team that just fired their coach.

Somehow it’s not all bleak for Houston. One of two things are going to happen in their blowout-suffering, plane-missing nightmare season. They can either clean house after the season and bring in a new regime with the high draft pick they’re sure to receive, or they can somehow fall into a playoff spot because they play in a division that is likely to produce a losing champion.

Regardless, it’s just about time to slam the door on these 2015 Texans and hope that Watt doesn’t suffer anything more debilitating from trying to carry 52 other guys on his back.
