Sammy Watkins let loose on his critics with some choice words on his Instagram profile.

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins has endured one of the biggest sophomore slumps in the entire league, and he is not a happy camper. Watkins has been injured for the past few weeks with an ankle injury, and he noticed criticism of his inability to heal on his personal Instagram profile. Although Watkins’ work ethic cannot immediately be questioned, if we’re judging his response to critics, his attitude leaves a lot to be desired. Watkins went off on social media (later deleting the tirade), but the full rant was reposted on Twitter to now live in infamy.

Watkins has been an overall disappointment for the Bills since they traded up to select him fourth overall in the 2014 draft. The Bills wide receiver is sure to receive even more heat for saying that his critics have “little jobs” and are “losers.” His complaint from a couple of weeks ago about not receiving targets already made him look like a prima donna, so his Instagram rant only makes his reputation worse. Watkins has since seemed to realize how harsh his comments were, as he has since posted an apology on his Instagram profile.

It remains to be seen when Watkins can return from his injury and if he can get back in the good graces of fans, but calling people losers and implying that those outside the NFL have little jobs can only be seen as condescending.
