Final Prediction

I don’t think there’s any way that you can look at this Raptors team and not have high hopes for them this season and the future. They were impressive last season, but seemed to get broken down and weren’t mentally prepared for the rigors of the postseason when they met up and were eventually swept by the Wizards in the first round of the playoffs. That doesn’t seem like something that’s going to happen this season.

With the shape that Kyle Lowry is in going into this season, with the organization placing their faith in the development of Jonas Valanciunas in the frontcourt, and with the massive addition of DeMarre Carroll, this team is in a better spot in virtually every way to succeed in the Eastern Conference and even in the postseason. The playoffs seem like a lock for the Raptors, but I have even higher hopes.

While I stand firm in thinking that the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to represent the East in the NBA Finals this season, I think that the Raptors are going to shock the world and make it to their first ever Eastern Conference Finals series. I think that they have the talent, the mentality, the depth, and the versatility to make a deep run in the postseason and enjoy success that the organization has never seen before.

Predicted Record: 50-32
