As the NFL season continues to move along here in 2015, we’re beginning to separate the contenders from the pretenders. Well, with their 6-00 record, the Cincinnati Bengals are showing everyone that they’re definitely one of the contenders this year. A big reason for that is the play of quarterback Andy Dalton, who is having one of the best seasons of his career.
Because of this, Dalton is seeing quite the spike in his jersey sales and the year goes along.
According to the DICK’S Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which represents sales both nationwide and online, since the season began Dalton’s jersey has become more and more in demand. Since the season got underway in September, Dalton’s jersey sales have jumped up 32 spots, placing him at 55th overall in the NFL among all the players. 55th is still pretty far behind, but the Bengals signal caller is making his way up that ladder as he continues to lead this team on the amazing run.
In helping the Bengals get that 6-0 record thus far, Dalton has looked better than ever, throwing for 1,761 yards with 14 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He’s completed 67.4 percent of his passes, silencing a lot of the critics in the process. There is still a lot of season to go here, but so far, Dalton is stepping up like everyone has been waiting for him to.
If he keeps up this level of play and the Bengals can make a legitimate Super Bowl run, there’s no telling where his jersey sales will be by the time the season comes to a close.
