Lamar Odom’s strained relationship with his father was too much for them to reunite at his hospital bed.
Former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom has made a miraculous recovery from a cocaine overdose that occurred at a brothel. Odom spent time in a hospital in critical condition, but he has been able to regain his health and is now fully responsive. He has enough mental capacity to know that he does not want his father to visit him in the hospital.
It has been reported by TMZ that Odom is refusing to let his father visit him even though it was initially believed that his wife, Khloe Kardashian, made that decision. Odom’s father, Joe, was not happy about this since he claims he saw his son every day in Las Vegas before the brothel incident.
“I’m upset because this is the second time I came to see my son and they won’t let me see my son. It’s a lot of sabotage things going on. Why can’t I see my son? I brought him in the world. I’m highly upset right now,” Odom said.
However, Lamar was not happy with his father after he slammed the Kardashians. This caused Lamar to lash out against his father on Twitter, and he revealed that his dad was not there for him when he was growing up.
This is partly because Joe had a drug addiction of his own, which made it even more difficult to take care of his son since his wife died of colon cancer when Lamar was only 12 years old, according to Larry Brown Sports.
