9. Giannis Antetokounmpo

He’s Greek. He’s a freak. And his bank account is about to hit its peak.

At 6-foot-11, 222 lbs Giannis Anteokounmpo is built like Kevin Durant, but he’s just not at that level. As a 19-year-old rookie, Anteokounmpo started 23 of the 77 games he played in and averaged just 7 points a game with just more than four rebounds per game.

With Jason Kidd taking the reins of the Milwaukee Bucks and Michael Carter-Williams being brought in to run the point, Anteokounmpo nearly doubled his scoring with 13 points per game. He bumped up his rebounds to 7 per game and shot just below 50 percent from the field.

If the Bucks pick up his team option, Anteokounmpo won’t be a restricted free agent until 2017. During these next two seasons, he’s owed just less than $5 million.

But when he does hit the market, Anteokonmpo will be in high demand. His versatility is unique attribute that all 30 NBA teams want on their roster. Luckily, for the Bucks, they’ll be able to match any offer he gets.

Milwaukee got a bargain on Anteokounmpo with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, but the interesting part will be how he evolves from here on out. He’s shot below 30 percent from three during his first two seasons.

Developing an outside game this season is the next step for Anteokounmpo, but that would also mean his price would go up dramatically, and Milwaukee will have to tap into those extra funds to keep him in a Bucks uniform.
