The National Football League season is somehow nearing the midway point for most teams. November is beckoning, which means we are starting to separate the contenders from the pretenders.

Amazingly, there are still a bunch of teams trying to gain traction that were expected to roll. The Dallas Cowboys have dealt with an avalanche of injuries, including a broken clavicle to Tony Romo and a broken foot for star receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant is expected back this weekend, giving backup quarterback Matt Cassel a prime target.

Then there are the Indianapolis Colts, who can’t seem to get anything going. They will have a heck of an assignment this week, facing the undefeated Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Monday Night Football. Indianapolis is 3-4 but has looked even worse, with the only saving grace that the AFC South is horrible. All jokes aside, the Colts have a great chance to make the playoffs even with a 6-10 mark.

So, do any of our NFL experts see the Colts making a statement? How about the Cowboys, who are riding a four-game losing streak heading into their home tilt against the Seattle Seahawks? Let’s take a look at our Week 8 NFL picks:

As you can see, everyone picks the Green Bay Packers to pick the Denver Broncos in the battle of undefeated teams. Also, the Seahawks are getting a clean sweep over the Cowboys, while the Colts are only getting the confidence of Josh Hill.
