New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has always been a bruiser, as this kindergarten video of Gronk laying waste to a piñata will show.
Rob Gronkowski has used his huge frame and hands to revolutionize the tight end position over just a few short years in the NFL. However, we may have gotten our first inkling into just how big a bruiser Gronk truly was back in kindergarten.
A video has recently surfaced (h/t NFL on CBS) of a five-year-old Gronkowski taking part in a classroom party, with the little bopper being handed what appears to be a large stick to break open the proverbial piñata. Needless to say, there is no mistaking which one is Gronk here.
"New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski -Gronk has had hands since Day 1. He was more concerned with candy than footballs when he was younger though.Posted by NFL on CBS on Thursday, October 29, 2015"
Not only does he take two massive whacks at that poor piece of paper mache, but when he fails to bust it open despite his titanic blasts, Gronk does what he does best. Standing above the defenders – err, other children – Gronkowski used his above average size and hands to reach above the massed and catch the falling candy in one massive handful.
Well, we’ve seen those hands do their thing on the football field and it’s easy to see that Gronkowski has been looming above the crowd quite a few years earlier.
