Fact #1: Fantasy NASCAR has Ringers Too
Fantasy NASCAR, like other DFS, is dominated by experienced and knowledgeable big-money players. Just because it’s fairly new doesn’t mean that anyone can dominate. See: The Truth Behind Daily Fantasy Leagues

Each type of Track (Intermediate, Short, Road Course, Superspeedway, etc…) has unique characteristics that effect the races as well as its fantasy scoring. Knowing which drivers favor certain tracks/races and tailoring your lineup for the style of racing that day is critical in NASCAR DFLs.

Fact #3: Playing Favorites All the Time is Fatal
DraftKings Fantasy NASCAR is not a place to plug in your favorite drivers week-in, week-out. There are too many good drivers plus the DK scoring system is designed to equal the playing field.

Fact #4: NASCAR is Fluky by Nature
Even the best, most-carefully conceived lineup can be foiled by bad luck. Whether your driver gets wrecked by someone else, cuts a tire on someone else’s mess, has a bizarre equipment failure, etc… you have to understand that such things come with the territory in auto racing.

The best way to combat this in DK NASCAR is to build multiple lineups with some diversity and to not get too frustrated when Lady Luck doesn’t come your way.

Fact #5: One Lineup Does Not Fit All
All the various DK/DFL Contest Types (H2H, 50/50, Tournaments, etc…) call for different strategies.

For contests with a large number of entrants and big prize pools you need to target one or two “high risk/high-reward” drivers that will have low ownership. Conversely, DFL Cash games require more conservative, reliable plays.
