High Priced Quarterbacks

Carson Palmer (8,100): Palmer and the Cardinals are on the road this week as they take on the Browns.  Even though Cleveland’s secondary is usually solid, they’ve been dealing with multiple injuries and could be vulnerable to attack even though the Cards are on a short week after their Monday Night Football win.  In that win, Palmer threw for 275 yards and a pair of touchdowns giving him 19.2 FanDuel points.  Throughout the season, he has been remarkably consistent with at least 16 fantasy points in every single contest.  He’s a steady and reliable play this week.

Cam Newton (8,000): The hardest thing about playing Cam this week will be waiting until Monday Night Football to enjoy his big point production.  The Colts defense has struggled when not facing AFC South quarterbacks, and Cam continues to be all of the Carolina offense.  Newton has run for four touchdowns in his last five games while throwing eight more scores in those contests. His three picks last week definitely hurt, but I think he’ll bounce back with a good game against an Indy defense that has been largely unimpressive for the most part this season.

Matt Ryan (8,000): Ryan and the Falcons are at home in their dome this Sunday taking on an extremely beatable secondary as they host the Bucs.  Tampa Bay has allowed the third-most fantasy points to opposing QB’s which makes Ryan a very nice play even though his last few games have been underwhelming.  Ryan has been getting the yards-at least 250 in every game this season-but the passing TD’s have been few and far between-only four in the last four games. Even though coach Dan Quinn likes the run game, I expect Ryan to put on an aerial display this weekend as he tries to right the Falcons sputtering offense.

Week 7 picks: Andrew Luck, Carson Palmer, Philip Rivers
