Drew Brees played out of his mind against the Giants on Sunday, throwing more touchdowns than some teams scored combined in a game. 

When the New Orleans Saints got off to a slow start this season, there were questions raised about the longevity of Drew Brees and how much longer he would be able to be the leader of his team. His stats weren’t what they used to be, he wasn’t coming back against bad teams like the Buccaneers and the Saints have been struggling for identity all season long.

But shame on us for assuming that there wasn’t enough gas in the tank for Brees to flame the giants and take a torch to the defense in a barnburner of a contest.

Just watch as he throws seven touchdowns against the Giants in a win that reminded us of vintage Brees:

Brees has been criticized for being not he downslope of his career, and his play this year has given way for that trolling too. But let’s not forget how special of a player he is, and this game against the Giants was a reminder that Drew Brees isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
