Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery made an unreal touchdown catch to tie things up with the Vikings before halftime
Both the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings had trouble putting points on the board with their offense over almost the entire first half. With less than a minute remaining in the second quarter, the only scores had come off of a punt return touchdown and two field goals. Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery bucked that trend just before halftime.
After the Bears defense picked off Teddy Bridgewater with just over a minute remaining, Chicago had a short field to work with. On the third play of the drive, Cutler threw a deep ball to Jeffery down the left side into the back of the endzone. That’s when Jeffery rose up over the Vikings defense and had the presence of mind to come down controlled with both feet inbounds for the score:

Though the Bears have become at least somewhat of a laughing stock around the league at this point, that shouldn’t overshadow how talented of a player someone like Jeffery is. There aren’t many receivers in the league who can make a play like that.
Jeffery’s touchdown tied the game at 10-10 before halftime and gave the Bears the first offensive touchdown of the game. If they want to knock off Minnesota, they’ll undoubtedly need to carry the momentum from that play and score into the second half.
