Mike Mitchell blowing up Marvin Jones is even better with Jim Ross calling it
During the first half of the Week 8 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cincinnati Bengals, Steelers safety Mike Mitchell absolutely obliterated Bengals wide receiver Marvin Jones as Jones went up to try and make a catch in the middle of the field. It was a brutal, legal hit that made Jones look like he was a rag doll.
The hit itself was impressive when it happened and on replay. However, there was one thing that could make it even better, which of course is having legendary WWE play-by-play announcer Jim Ross call the hit:
You have to love JR calling a spear as the first angle of Jones being hit rolls through, but even better is Ross saying “as God as my witness, he is broke in half” right as Mitchell’s hit causes Jones to double over his shoulder. It’s beautiful.
Honestly, you could add Jim Ross play-by-play calls to anything and it’s going to be incredible. I’d watch JR call a video of people arbitrarily stubbing their toes. The fact that his commentary is put over an already incredible hit from Mitchell just makes the whole thing incredibly epic.
