The Pittsburgh Steelers might have lost running back Le’Veon Bell for the season to a brutal knee injury, and they are pissed. On Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, Mitchell watched his teammate go down and then dished out some punishment of his own, absolutely hammering wide receiver Marvin Jones on a crossing route.

Jones was basically folded in half. How the man was able to get up and jog off the field after being down for only a few brief moments is beyond me. Jones was crushed in a way we don’t normally see in today’s National Football League, showcasing a hard brand of football that many believe belongs in yesteryear.

Mitchell is not a great safety in coverage, but he is one of the hardest hitters in the game. The former Oakland Raiders and Carolina Panthers standout was a second-round pick out of Ohio University, and has made his money by dropping huge hits and playing against the run in the box.

Luckily for the Bengals, Jones looks alright and should be able to stay in the game. With Jones one on side, it is tough to double A.J. Green, giving Andy Dalton many options on almost every passing down. The Bengals are 6-0 and in a position where a win on Sunday would almost wrap up the AFC North on the first day of November.
