Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette was down and not moving after taking a huge blow
The Seattle Seahawks were punting towards the end of the first half against the Dallas Cowboys and wide receiver Ricardo Lockette was part of the punt coverage team for Seattle. While running down the field to try and get to the punt returner, Cowboys safety Jeff Heath delivered a big hit on Lockette, severely injuring the receiver:
What ensued was an immensely scary scene as Lockette went down to the ground and remained motionless for several minutes. Teammates, coaches, and trainers gathered around and tried to communicate with the receiver while players for both teams took knees to pray while the chilling scene played out on the field.
This doesn't look good RT @TheCauldron Ricardo Lockette was drilled and appears to be out cold, hope he's ok https://t.co/vIP2otI7lc

Lockette was then placed on a stretcher and carted off of the field. There’s no official word on what the injuries he suffered were, but it’s clear from the scene on the field that it’s not good. Lockette did move his hands, his first sign of movement after taking the hit, as the stretcher was being placed on the cart. He raised his fists and pointed to the crowd as the cart took him off the field.
Though we don’t know what the extent of the injury is, it’s certainly scary for Lockette and everyone in this game. Thoughts and prayers undoubtedly go out to Lockette.
