The NFL Trade Deadline is coming up, but when exactly is the deadline for players to be traded by teams?

One of the most exciting times of the year in sports is the respective trade deadlines that leagues have which usually kick up a flurry of activity. The one league where there are plenty of rumors but usually never a lot of action is the NFL, where we hear rumored deals but almost never see the trigger pulled on any of them.

That’s the case again this year, as teams like the Seahawks, Browns and others are rumored to be making moves before the deadline. But in addition to the question of whether or not these rumored deals will go down or not is the question of when these trades need to happen by?

November 3rd is the NFL trade deadline, as teams need to have deals agreed upon and approved by the league by 3pm ET on Tuesday of this upcoming week in order for them to be official. While there are rumors floating out there all over the place involving names like Joe Thomas and Alex Mack, the likelihood of a deal going down is minimal.

That being said, last year saw Percy Harvin traded before the trade deadline which means it’s not impossible to see a big name player moved.

Either way, a deal — should there be one to be made — needs to happen before the deadline passes on November 3rd.
