The Indianapolis Colts were supposed to be one of the best teams in the National Football League this season. There were plenty of experts who believed that quarterback Andrew Luck was going to be holding up the Lombardi Trophy in Levi’s Staidum in February, but things have not gone according to plan.

At 3-4, the Colts will be facing a pair of tough tests over the next two weeks. Indianapolis travels to take on the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium on Monday Night Football before hosting the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon. The Colts could be 3-6 by the time they hit their BYE week, perhaps bringing on the pink slips for head coach Chuck Pagano and general manager Ryan Grigson.

Meanwhile, Carolina is rolling with a 6-0 record. The Panthers are trying to win the NFC South for the third straight season, and this time make it happen with a winning record. Last year, the Panthers ended the campaign with a 7-8-1 record but still won that rancid dumpster fire of a division. Then, with an incredible stroke of luck, played the Arizona Cardinals with Ryan Lindley under center. Predictably, the Cardinals lost.

Carolina could move two games ahead of the Atlanta Falcons, who lost in overtime on Sunday to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Atlanta is sitting at 5-2, currently in a wild card spot with the Minnesota Vikings.
