Saints quarterback Drew Brees admitted on the Dan Patrick Show that his son was rooting for New Orleans natives Eli Manning and Odell Beckham, Jr. on Sunday

The New York Giants traveled to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana this Sunday to take on the Saints. The game was a shoot-out in which New Orleans won by a score of 52-49.

The Giants may have been the visitors, but their two biggest stars have strong ties to New Orleans as well. Both quarterback Eli Manning and receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. are New Orleans natives who happened to attend the same private school, Isidore Newman School.

Naturally the current students at Isidore Newman School follow and root for the men who preceded them at the New Orleans school, including Baylen Brees.

If the name sounds familiar, it should because the young man is actually the son of Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who admitted on the Dan Patrick show that his oldest boy was pulling for the very men trying to beat his father’s team.

The younger Brees was probably as happy as his father was following the wild shootout game in which the Saints quarterback finished with seven touchdown passes and 505 yards through the air. Yet, he still was able to cheer on the huge game by both Manning and OBJ. The Giants quarterback threw for 350 yards and six touchdown passes while Beckham pulled in three of those scores as he finished with 130 yards on eight receptions.

With the win, New Orleans improved to 4-4 after starting off 0-3. The Giants fell to 4-4 as their roller coaster season continues. Despite now owning the same record, the Saints find themselves behind the Panthers and Falcons in the NFC South, whereas the Giants are still in first place in their disappointing NFC East.
