Last season the Kansas City Royals came so close to capturing themselves a World Series title, but they fell just short against the San Francisco Giants. This year, they were able to make a return trip and they were not going to let the same thing happen against the New York Mets.
On Sunday night, the Royals were able to capture that title that narrowly eluded them last season, as they overcame the New York Mets in Game 5, which finished in extra innings, to take it all at 4-1. Yes, Royals fans, let it all sink in because your team is in fact the World Series Champions.
