Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis dunked all over LaMarcus Aldridge
Kristaps Porzingis and LaMarcus Aldridge are two players that had a lot of buzz about them coming into the 2015-16 NBA season, but for completely different reasons. Aldridge made waves as one of the top free agents on the market this summer before signing with the San Antonio Spurs. Porzingis on the other hand joined the New York Knicks as the No. 4 pick in the 2015 draft and no one really knowing what to make of him.
After this play on Monday night, we can certainly ask Aldridge what he makes of Porzingis after the Knicks rookie dunked all over him with a huge putback jam:

That wasn’t just Porzingis getting a favorable situation with Aldridge staying grounded while the rookie jumped; Aldridge goes for the rebound and Porzingis just rises over him to get the rock and then throw it down with authority over one of the best big men in the league.
It’s only a handful of games into Porzingis’ career, but it’s hard to not be impressed with what he’s been able to show early into his rookie season with the Knicks. If he continues to show plays like this and fill out into a more NBA-style body, the Knicks may have a special talent on their hands.
