Michael Carter-Williams has faced his fair share of criticism since he entered the league a few years ago. You don’t have to search very hard to find someone lamenting his lack of shooting ability.

But here’s something he shouldn’t face any criticism for. In fact, he should be receiving universal praise. The other day, MCW announced that he’s going to be donating $5 to Special Olympics Wisconsin for every rebound that he pulls down this year.

He already has 16 through just three games this year, putting him at right about five boards a game. Which is right about where he’s been throughout his career. If he continues that trend, he should pull down 400-plus rebounds this year, leading to over $2,000 for Special Olympics Wisconsin.

Say what you want about his game, but that’s pretty cool.
