Salvador Perez was named the 2015 World Series MVP

The Kansas City Royals had one of the best seasons in baseball in 2015, which means that it would only be fitting that they cap it all with a World Series win, the same win that eluded them last season. Well, on Sunday night, they were able to complete that mission, as they defeated the New York Mets in Game 5 to take the series at 4-1. It was a defining moment for this franchise, and of course, the MVP went to Salvador Perez.

What is probably most important for Perez, the catcher of this amazing team, is the fact that he left last year’s World Series with a sinking feeling.

This is a Royals team that really is the epitome of team baseball, so you really hate to single anyone out when it comes to this group. However, if you have to pick an MVP of this amazing championship run here in October of 2015, there was no one better than Perez. He continually called amazing games for his pitchers as they were pursuing this title and he was one of the many members of this organization that made sure the job got done this time around.

Really, there could not have been a better selection for this award, since you have to pick one.
