The Friendly Bounce Belt: Who else could it be, but Steph?

Welcome back to the Friendly Bounce Belt, our weekly power rankings of awesome moments in the NBA. Let’s see who took home the belt after the first week of NBA action.

The champion: Steph Curry

Of course it’s Steph Curry taking home the belt. I mean, he had one of the best weeks of basketball of time. Fresh off winning the MVP and his first championship he dropped 40 in the opener, clowned the Rockets for 25 in just 26 minutes, then fired in 53 on the Pels to end the week. It isn’t even really fair to pick his one best moment as the best moment of the week, because he did too many ridiculous things.

The contenders:

Russell Westbrook’s game-tying shot from just inside halfcourt

Russsssssss. I had to work, so unfortunately I missed this game, but it was a classic. There were plenty of big time shots, but Russ’ effort here was the best of them all. Dagger city.

Harrison Barnes eliminating Dwight Howard

YOOOOOO. Dwight Howard didn’t play in yesterday’s game against the Rockets because of “rest”, but I think we know the real reason Dwight had to sit out. He was still embarrassed from getting yammed on.

Russ elevating for this putback slam

My god Russ. For all of the talk about Curry’s week, and deservedly so, Bestbrook had himself a week too. Big time shots, a ton of points, and powerful slams a plenty.

Avery Bradley cramming on the Spurs

Sheeeeesshh. Okay Avery. Young fella has some bounce.

The Wolves winning one for Flip on opening night

Kristaps Porzingis spinning and slamming

KRISTAPPPPPPS. Look at the athleticism from my man. Get that money, young Kristaps.

Justise Winslow introducing himself to the Hornets

WHOA. That dunk was so beautiful. Cocked it back with the left and just floated through the air right past all the helpless defenders. Let ’em know, rook!
