Watch the called strike three that won the Royals the 2015 World Series

The Kansas City Royals seemed like they were going to have to try and clinch the 2015 World Series in Game 6 in Kansas City after Matt Harvey and the New York Mets were dominant for eight innings in Game 5 with the Royals leading the series 3-1. However, the Royals showed the fight that they had all season and proved that they only needed five games.

Kansas City scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to force extra innings and then exploded in the top of the 12th inning for five runs, the most ever in an extra inning in a World Series game. That meant it was all up to their star closer in Wade Davis to close out the Game 5 win and subsequently the 2015 World Series for the Royals.

Davis started off dominantly as he struck out the first two Mets batters that he faced. Michael Conforto singled to keep New York alive, bringing Wilmer Flores up to bat. Flores battled with Davis after starting out the count 0-2. However, after fouling off two pitches, Davis burned one by Flores for strike three to clinch the 2015 World Series for the Royals, their first title since 1985.
