The National Football League has entered November, where things begin to get serious. Through the first eight weeks, we have learned which teams might be making a run toward the playoffs, while others are showing that the 1206 NFL Draft should be the next thing to get excited about.

Meanwhile, there are four teams that still are without a loss. This is the first time in NFL history that we enter Week 9 with this many teams still supporting an egg in the loss column. The Cincinnati Bengals, New England Patriots, Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers are all undefeated, and could continue to stave off any blemishes.

This coming week, Cincinnati is hosting the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. Denver will be on the road, but taking on the lowly Indianapolis Colts. New England has the easiest of the four challenges, taking on the Washington Redskins at Gillette Stadium, while the Panthers are at home against the Green Bay Packers.

Here’s how the Week  9 NFL standings look:

As you can see, the AFC South needs to be contracted. The Colts are somehow leading the division with a 3-5 record, technically ahead of the Houston Texans, who they beat in October. Houston is an unmitigated dumpster fire, but it might be good enough to compete for the South, since five wins might take the cake.

Also, who is excited to see the NFC East winner hosting a playoff game? The Dallas Cowboys would be intriguing if they are healthy, but those other three teams? Chip Kelly should have been fired yesterday, the Redskins are terrible and the New York Giants are the definition of mediocre.

Hopefully, somebody can make a move in both of those divisions so the NFL can avoid mass embarrassment come January.
