Listing out the top five players to watch in a dense Week 9.

Chaotic plays have carried the water for college football in recent weeks. From the madness that took place with blocked kicks in Ann Arbor and Atlanta to the multi-lateral extravaganza in Miami, the sport has been buoyed by phenomenal finishes during weeks when expectations were low.

Fortunately for more diehard college football supporters, this week’s slate is utterly jam-packed with fantastic battles between strong teams.

The headliner comes in primetime where Alabama and LSU will square off, and we know to expect a slugfest when those two rivals get together. However, there are two additional contests between top-20 opponents, and that does not reflect another game that includes an obscenely high-profile program going on the road as a single-digit favorite.

All in all, it is a loaded week on the college gridiron, and we are back to take a glance at five players that you should be closely monitoring when the action heats up on the field. Normally, we try to take the approach of finding diamonds in the rough, but as you can already surmise at least one name we will cover is the Heisman Trophy favorite. There may still be a few names that casual fans will not recognize, but as always, these players will all play a huge part in games that could impact the race for the College Football Playoff.

Let’s get to the names, beginning with Mr. Leonard Fournette.
