Tyler Eifert catches his league leading ninth touchdown pass as Andy Dalton finds him from two yards out

The Cincinnati Bengals extended their lead against their in-state rivals after quarterback Andy Dalton connected with tight end Tyler Eifert on a two-yard score. The score gives Cincy a 14-3 lead over the Cleveland Browns.

Dalton scrambles to his left as the pressure begins to get to him, but he is able to buy a little bit of time. He then finds Eifert in the back of the end zone with a beautiful throw across his body. The throw is difficult, but he lands the pass in Eifert’s hands in-between three Cleveland defenders.

It was the second time the two connected in the red zone tonight as Eifert now has three catches for 16 yards and two scores. The Notre Dame product now has nine touchdown receptions on the season, which leads all tight ends.

The Bengals are looking to extend their winning streak and start the 2015 season at 8-0. Maybe more importantly the team is looking to win a night game with all eyes on them. In the past the team, and especially the quarterback Dalton, have been accused of fading when the lights go on. So far tonight, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

On the other side of the ball, the Browns need their second-year quarterback Johnny Manziel to try and get something going as they are struggling to match the firepower of the Bengals. The Browns sit at 2-6 and are trying to salvage whatever they can from this season.
