The Cincinnati Bengals are well on their way to going 8-0 to start the season, and they can thank the connection of quarterback Andy Dalton and tight end Tyler Eifert.

Eifert has caught three touchdowns from the right hand of Dalton, putting Cincinnati ahead of the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football, 31-10. Eifert was able to put a wicked double move on the corner before heading toward the front left pylon. It was easy money for Dalton, who lofted a pass right to the goal line for the streaking star.

Eifert is becoming one of the best tight ends in the league along with Rob Gronkowski, Jason Witten, Jimmy Graham and Travis Kelce. This year, Eifert is leading the National Football League in touchdown catches with nine. It has been a Pro Bowl and perhaps All-Pro worthy campaign for the 25-year-old out of the University of Notre Dame.

The Bengals are one of the hardest teams to defend in football with Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill in the backfield, Eifert on the inside going down the seam, and A.J. Green, Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones on the outside. It is an embarrassment of riches, and one that Dalton is finally taking advantage of in his fifth year.

At 8-0, the Bengals are four games clear of the second-place Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. At this point, Cincinnati is only concerned about trying to earn a first-round BYE for the first time in the Dalton era.
