The Week 9 NFL picks are in, and it is going to enrage some people in North Carolina area. Despite being 7-0, the Carolina Panthers are underdogs against the Green Bay Packers. This is even more amazing when you realize the Panthers are hosting the game at Bank of America Stadium.

Carolina has already beaten plenty of teams which were expected to be powers in the National Football League this season. The Panthers beat the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts in each of the past two weeks on primetime television, including an overtime victory on Monday Night Football.

Green Bay is coming off a bad loss against the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football. The Packers were slammed at Sports Authority Field, with Aaron Rodgers having one of the worst games of his career at the hands of Wade Phillips’ defense. Rodgers should be furious and will come out firing, but can he beat a defense led by Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis and shutdown cornerback Josh Norman?

The picks show that most of us see a fairly lopsided week. The New England Patriots are one of the four undefeated teams and are expected to stay that way. New England is hosting the Washington Redskins, a mediocre team that should get trounced.

The Colts are also expected to fall to 3-6 before their BYE week. Considering the Houston Texans are on a BYE week, that would actually put Indianapolis out of a playoff spot heading into Week 10. Could general manager Ryan Grigson and head coach Chuck Pagano get fired?
