Carlos Hyde will be forced to miss another game for the San Francisco 49ers due to a foot injury.

San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde has been ruled out for Week 9 with a foot injury, according to the 49ers’ injury report. Hyde suffered his injury in Week 6 and used the bye week to heal from it, but he was unable to return for the 49ers’ Week 8 matchup against the St. Louis Rams and will not be able to play against the Atlanta Falcons either.

The 49ers official Twitter account confirmed Hyde’s playing status and released the full injury report from Friday’s practice.

It would be an understatement to say that the 49ers offense is a mess right now, as quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been benched in favor of Blaine Gabbert while wide receiver Anquan Boldin is considered doubtful with a hamstring injury. The 49ers are also extremely short-handed at running back now that Hyde is out.

Backup running back Reggie Bush is out for the season with a torn MCL, and the 49ers are virtually battling for the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft since they are in rebuilding mode. Gabbert has proven to be one of the worst quarterbacks of all-time in his limited action with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Kaepernick’s poor play caused the 49ers to become desperate for a change.

The running back injuries and offensive line woes can’t help matters for as San Francisco tries to right the ship, but hopefully it will only be one more week before Hyde returns to a full workload.
