The Dallas Cowboys have not responded to the disturbing photos of Greg Hardy’s assault of his then-girlfriend.
Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy is one of the most controversial players in the NFL, and his career may be coming to an end sooner than expected. It was already no secret that he was involved in a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend, but photos have since emerged with marks and bruises all over her body.
These photos can be seen on Deadspin, but they are not for the faint of heart. Cowboys beat writer David Moore reports that the team declined to comment on these photos.
Cowboys officials are aware of photos that have surfaced of Greg Hardy and Nicole Holder and have no comment.

Hardy had reportedly thrown Nicole Holder, his girlfriend at the time, against a tile bathtub wall before throwing her on a futon and choking her. Now that photos have emerged of his assault on her, he is likely to receive even more disciplinary action from the NFL. The NFL made a controversial decision to reduce Hardy’s suspension from 10 games to four, but it appears that another Ray Rice situation may be afoot.
Hardy had recently been called a “real leader” by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones despite an on-field incident involving him pushing a coach and slapping his clipboard away. The photos may be the final straw for Hardy’s stint in Dallas though. The Cowboys already knew that Hardy came with baggage due to his domestic violence incident, but his on-field and off-field troubles will likely leave them with no choice but to release him. It remains to be seen whether Jones will make the smart PR move and let Hardy go, but the evidence is stacked against the troubled defensive end.
