Did Derrick Rose get away with an epic travel?
By Paulo Acoba
Based off a vine video taken during Thursday night’s game, it totally looks like it Derrick Rose might have gotten away with the worst no-call travel of all-time.
Thursday night, the Chicago Bulls faced off against Oklahoma City in a game that saw both sides play brilliant offense, trading blows well into the fourth quarter. But a second quarter matchup against Rose and OKC’s Steven Adams has the greater Twitterverse up in arms against the refs well after the game was over.
We’ve posted the vine video below and we’ll let you be the judge.
Travel or not, the faceoff against both Russel Westbrook and Steven Adams was noteworthy in and of itself. First Derrick Rose blazes through Westbrook’s defense leaving Adams to do what he does best in the paint. Rose goes up for what looks like a jump shot but both feet come back down to the boards where he somehow gets a second dribble and finally banks another shot in uncontested.
If you look closely, some people on twitter are calling out Adams shoulder for hitting the ball the first time Derrick Rose gets airborn thus making a travel call null in void. And as far as OKC’s bench watching, it look like if they saw a travel they weren’t exactly going to say anything.
For now we’re going to chalk it up to being a deflected pass since the ref clearly didn’t call anything and there was no finger pointing after the fact.
