Isaiah Thomas’ crossover had Ramon Sessions scrambling in a bad way

Isaiah Thomas is the best offensive option for the Boston Celtics and has been since he was acquired prior to the trade deadline last season. Either as a starter or in the sixth man role, Thomas simply provides the ability to knock down shots and create off the dribble at a level that no one else in Boston really can. Washington Wizards guard Ramon Sessions learned just how good Thomas is at creating his own offense on Friday night.

As the Celtics were riding high in a big first quarter run against the Wizards, Thomas was moving the ball up the floor and Boston didn’t have numbers at all. That didn’t matter to the shifty point guard as he absolutely destroyed Sessions’ ankles with a lightning-quick crossover before taking it to the rack for a nice finish around another Wizards defender:

"DON’T HURT ‘EM ISAIAH 👀 #ankles https://t.co/klAFfSV9RH— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) November 7, 2015"

Someone should probably tell Sessions that swiping at the ball against a guard as quick as Thomas is only going to lead to embarrassment, or at least that’s what happened on this play.

That bucket from Thomas pushed the Celtics lead to 18 points with under a minute left in the first quarter. They finished the first period up 40-25 on Washington and continued their shockingly dominant performance in the second quarter as they took a 72-49 lead into halftime. Thomas finished the first half with 14 points, three assists, two steals, and one pair of broken ankles to add to his collection.
