Jabari Parker looks like he’s ready to be a force for the Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks were one of the trendy sleeper picks coming into the 2015-16 NBA season. The signing of Greg Monroe in free agency this summer obviously played into that, as did another year of development for “The Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, the underrated piece in the Bucks’ 2015-16 season is the return of Jabari Parker, who was playing in his second game of the season on Friday against the New York Knicks.

Parker is returning from a torn ACL that he suffered last season, with many people wondering how the No. 2 overall pick from 2014 would look in his return to NBA action. It might just be one play, but I think the Knicks would say that Parker is looking pretty explosive and healthy on Friday night after he did this to them:

There’s so much to love on this play, starting with getting his defender standing up on the perimeter with a nice pump-fake. Then, I love his quickness and deftness to step around the defender on the baseline. Of course, it wouldn’t be the same if Parker didn’t finish the play with an impressive two-handed slam.

Of the 2014 draft class, Parker was regarded as the player who could have the most immediate impact because of his offensive prowess. Even without a full rookie season to show and hone those skills, plays like this make it apparent that the second-year forward is going to have a positive impact on the Bucks this season.
