Recently, University of Alabama students made an offensive sign ahead of their matchup against LSU that said “Finish What Katrina Started.” The University of Alabama has since apologized for the sign and says that it has been taken down.
The university claims that the sign was hung at an apartment complex that is off-campus.
UA is appalled that anyone would display a banner with such an inappropriate and offensive statement. (1 of 2)

It’s our understanding that the banner was hung at an off-campus apartment complex and it has been removed. (2 of 2)

It remains to be seen if LSU players will take that attack by classless Crimson Tide fans personally. They likely don’t need any bulletin board material considering the rivalry between Bama and LSU and the stakes involved in their primetime matchup. LSU is the number two ranked team in college football while Bama is ranked fourth.
The University of Alabama could find themselves out of the running for the college football playoffs should they lose to LSU since they already have one loss. LSU enters the matchup undefeated and looking to beat Bama for the first time since 2012. They are also looking for their first SEC West title since 2011.
Expect an epic showdown because it seems like every time these two bitter rivals square off, something magical happens.
