Stephen Curry’s dribbling drills seem like they’d be impossible
Stephen Curry might be the best player in the NBA right now. The Golden State Warriors point guard and reigning MVP is on another level to start the 2015-16 season and is doing so with his regular array of flash, unthinkably deep threes, and breathtaking handles. Seeing his handles, it’s not surprising that Curry’s dribbling drills are absolutely insane.
We’ve seen Curry doing two-ball dribbling drills and things of that nature before, but he took it to another level when this video surfaced of the Warriors point guard dribbling with eyewear that partially leaves him blind. Oh yeah, he’s also catching and juggling a tennis ball with his off-hand while he’s dribbling:
The fact that I’ve never really seen a drill like this before might be the reason that Curry has handles unlike many players that we’ve ever seen before. There’s so much quickness and concentration involved in the drill that it’s just unreal. The only real times he messes up while playing catch is when his coach drops the return throw.
At this point and considering what he’s been doing for the past season-and-a-half, we really shouldn’t be surprised with anything Curry does on a basketball court. If he starts pulling up for jumpers from beyond half-court, it honestly wouldn’t be that crazy anymore. Still, it doesn’t make drills like this and what he does in games any less incredible.
