Owen Daniels scored a one-yard touchdown to tie the match up with Andrew Luck and his Indianapolis Colts

Peyton Manning led his Denver Broncos on an impressive nine-play, 80-yard drive to tie the game at 24 after a successful PAT. Manning had played poorly throughout the match, throwing for 281 yards, two touchdowns and an interception, but the future hall of famer proved why he is tied for the most wins with Brett Favre.

The 7-0 Broncos are hoping to maintain their unbeaten record, but Andrew Luck and his Colts have showed why many saw them as preseason Super Bowl contenders, although they have been unable to show such form this year. Manning is now 3 yards away from the all time yardage record by a quarterback, after the 5:11 fourth quarter drive.

Owen Daniels now has six receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown, and has thrown down the gauntlet to free agent acquisition Vernon Davis.

Davis was acquired before the trade deadline this week from the San Francisco 49ers and looked set to start as the No. 1 tight end for Denver. Manning has struggled to utilize his tight ends throughout the year after losing Julius Thomas to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the summer. However, Daniels looks to have shown Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak that he is still a serious weapon. In an offense that is still finding its rhythm after a difficult year, Daniels’ red zone threat has been on display again.
