Cam Newton is one of the NFL’s most mobile quarterbacks, and during Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, he laughed as the Pack tried to stop him from running.

Cam Newton is one of the NFL’s most mobile quarterbacks, and has really ushered in a new style of play in the past few years. In the last five seasons, he’s rushed for nearly 3,000 yards, averaging 5.4 yards per run. His longest rush has been 72 yards.

Today against the Green Bay Packers, he is seeking to lead the Panthers to another win, as the team seeks to stay undefeated. Early in the first quarter he had been working his magic, running all over the Pack. He had one big 23 yard run, and has carried the ball three times already in the first quarter, averaging 11.0 yards per carry.

The running is easy for Newton, and he clearly has a lot of fun doing it. It’s even better when he’s making other teams look silly, as he has to the Pack so far today. On one of his big rushes, he laughed as the Packers attempted to catch up to him.

The Panthers went up 3-0 early, in a game that is huge for both teams. The Packers and Panthers are two of the best teams in the NFC, and only one team can escape this game with a win. Newton will be a key factor, and if the Packers keep letting him rush the way he has this early, they’ll be finding themselves struggling to stay in the game.

There’s a lot of time left, and a lot of time for the Packers defense to figure things out.
