Despite being undefeated entering the first set of College Football Playoff rankings last week, not many people gave Oklahoma State a ton of credit. They wanted to see the Cowboys take care of business against someone credible, and on Saturday, they gave the people what they were looking for.

Oklahoma State went into a showdown with the No. 8 TCU Horned Frogs, and when all was said and done, they came away with one of the more impressive wins that we’ve seen from a team all season long. Right now, even including the Baylor Bears, you almost have to say that Oklahoma State is the new front runner in the Big 12. This is a team that needed some validation them and it got that with the win over the Horned Frogs.

They do have some more tests coming along the way here down the stretch, but for now, given this win and their undefeated record, they deserve to be in the mix here.

Many people write off the Big 12 for a variety of reasons, but we learned on Saturday afternoon that this Cowboys team is in fact legitimate.
